Smoothies are a necessity for breakfasts since ever. They are undoubtedly easy to make and fulls your tummy in seconds. Every person who wants to have a healthy and quick breakfast can’t miss fresh fruit smoothies or frozen fruits would also work as they make the smoothie smoother.

Blueberry smoothie tastes heavenly whereas banana smoothie is also healthy and easy to make. What about mixing these two ingredients and making a blueberry-banana smoothie? Isn’t it a great idea?

Blueberry-banana smoothie is like the king of smoothies. Taste and health nothing is compromised in that. It is a nice add-on to your breakfast or it can do the work of whole breakfast if served in apt quantity. If served once you just can’t resist it, the heart craves more of it.

It can be prepared with frozen or fresh fruits, it all depends on you. You can just preserve fruits these fruits for future uses too. You can make it by mixing it with yogurt simply by just blending it raw. It will treat your taste buds in both ways. If you want to make it for your kids then you can add whipped cream too in the smoothie to make it a little bit creamier for kids.

Ingredients
  

Banana-Blueberry Smoothie

  • 1 Banana chunk (frozen)
  • 2 cups Blueberries (frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Apple juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup natural yogurt
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions
 

Instruction (way 1)

  • Put the blueberries, honey, apple juice, yogurt,banana chunks in a blender and blend. In a glass, serve 3/4 parts with the blueberry smoothie.

  • Complete with whipped cream.

Instructions (way 2 – three colors)

  • Put 1 ½ cups of blueberries in a blender (reserve 1/2 cup and some to garnish)add the apple juice and blend.  Reserve

  • Put the yogurt, 1/2 cup of the blueberries, the honey, and the banana in the blender. Blend a reserve.

  • In a glass, fill 1/3 with the first mixture.Another 1/3 with the second mix. Complete with whipped cream, garnish with blueberries.

Alternative of Yogurt

You can also use whole milk or almond milk as an alternative to yogurt.

Chocolaty Twist

To add a chocolaty twist to your banana-blueberry smoothie, you can add 2-3 tsp of chocolate syrup and top the smoothie with chocolate chips.

Dry Nuts

Crush the cashews or any of your favorite dry nuts into small pieces and mix them well. It will add crunchy bites to your smoothie.

Bites of blueberries

If you are a real fan of blueberries, just cut them into tiny pieces and add them to your smoothie. Enjoy the bites of tiny blueberries in every sip.

Frozen vs Fresh Fruits

Not available with the frozen fruits? Don’t worry continue with the fresh fruits. The only difference will be, it will reduce the consistency and thickness of the smoothie. Otherwise, taste and nutrients will remain the same.

Blend at high speed

Blend all the ingredients at a high speed until all the ingredients become smoother.

Nut butter or Granola

To add more fun, top your smoothie with a spoonful of nut butter and a tablespoon of granola.
